Neil and Jenny’s Winter wedding
If its good enough for Charles and Camilla its good enough for Neil and Jenny….. Having enjoyed several weekend breaks to Windsor, The Guildhall was the perfect venue for couple to tie the knot as it was a special place for them. Across the road is the gorgeous MacDonalds hotel, where the bride and bridesmaids got themselves ready, and all a stones throw from Windsor Castle. After the ceremony we took a walk along Windsor High Street to have some photographs taken outside the gates of the castle and then I took the Bride and Groom to the Royal Mile for some more portraits.
Here is a selection of images from their day.
What made you choose your venue?
We have always loved Windsor and often went for weekend breaks away, so it seemed only natural to organise our special day in our ’Special Place”

Where did you find your dress from?
Perfection Bridal in Maidstone. I have always loved the designer Justin Alexander and his dresses. It was always my goal to have one of his dresses. When I came round to dress shopping, I did shop around but I fell in love with Perfection mainly because they stocked all of Justin Alexander’s gowns.

Your wedding shoes?
I originally bought some Louboutins, however they were so uncomfortable I had to get another pair, so I ended up going to John Lewis and finding some shoes from their Rainbow range. My Louboutins are still in their box!!
Your florist? Choice of flowers?
We wanted a Winter Wonderland theme, our chosen venue is always decorated beautifully for christmas, I asked the hotel what florist they used for their designs, which happened to be a local florist located round the corner in Windsor, so I got in touch with them. They were absolutely amazing and produced the most incredible designs and flowers. I went for a sparkling gypsophilla for my bridesmaid and I had a brooch bouquet which was made up of sparking, silver and white broaches to match the theme.
Your something old, new borrowed and blue?
New – Wedding dress Borrowed – My friend’s diamond necklace. Old & Blue – My mums sapphire and diamond ring
Your bridesmaids dresses? ASOS
Groomsmen and best man suits? NEXT
Who was your hairstylist and MUA?
Carly Turner – she would always do my hair and make up on special occasions and I have always loved her style. I went with Nude’s and natural colours for my make up. I wanted my hair to have lots of volume and mainly down, but partially up to allow my veil to be placed in my hair.

What did you love most about your big day?
Everything and every moment.
Rob and Carrie at Mountains Country House, Kent
Mountains Country house was the venue for Rob and Carries wedding this August. It is a 19th Century Grade II listed Mansion set in beautiful grounds in Hildenborough, Kent near to Tonbridge.
They were married in the lovely open Gazebo outside the house and even though we felt a few spots of rain that morning the weather held out and was perfect.
The reception and wedding breakfast was held in the permanent marquee that is erected in the grounds of Mountains. It is huge with a gorgeous dance floor – the perfect party venue. Dinner was prawns, lamb and then Eton mess. (I must say the lamb was to die for!)
Carrie; “We fell in love with Mountains Country house the second we saw it! It has everything we wanted, gazebo to get married in and then marquee, fairy lights and sparkly dance floor”
Carrie’s dress was vintage lace with a beautiful jeweled belt and she finished off her look with a beautiful hair vine in her long hair.
Her 4 bridesmaids dresses were a lovely bright coral colour and their bouquets where white Hydrangeas with little diamond brooches. The brides bouquet was a beautiful mix of roses with an ombre type pink/coral rose throughout.
It was a fun filled and emotional day that I thoroughly enjoyed being part of.
Carries advice for any future brides… “Do not stress and enjoy every single second of it. Have everything u want, don’t scrimp on anything. But make it about u and the groom!”

Dave and Carly’s beautiful wedding day at Oaks Farm Barn
Who doesn’t love the long Easter weekend……2017 was a particularly good one as Carly and Dave decided to get married on the Good Friday, giving everyone plenty of time to recover from all the partying.
Arriving at the venue in the morning the weather was perfect….lots of cloud with a little sun – a photographers dream conditions. . The bride, Carly was in the quaint little onsite cottage getting her hair and make up done whilst Dave having a few last minute pints with his dad and best man up the road in a nearby hotel.. Having a second photographer, (also called Carly !) with me for the day meant that I could be in two places at once.
From the beginning everyone was really relaxed and looking forward to the day. Having everything all in one place meant that there was no need to rush (too much). The bride and groom honestly didn’t stop smiling.
Here’s a selection of images from the day to give you an idea of what a great, fun and happy wedding day it was. Carly and Dave have written a few words on their venue, and suppliers to help any of you getting married in the near future.

THE VENUE
https://www.oaksfarmweddings.co.uk/
Dave and I chose Oaks Farm pretty much straight away. We liked the fact that it felt peaceful and away from it all. Five minutes down the road is busy Croydon, yet there was this lovely venue hidden away. We also liked the fact that everything was ‘under one roof’. We didn’t want guests to have to to and fro going from one venue to another. Plus a hotel a few minutes up the road helped!
We did view other venues but they just weren’t as ‘pretty’. I really loved the Stables and the clean, simplicity of it, whereas Dave liked the Barn and the rustic feel. So it catered for both our likes! The fact that the owners/staff were super chilled and helpful made things so much easier. I think we could have gone down every weekend to view it and they wouldn’t have minded!
My dress was from Confetti & Lace, Thurrock, (http://confettiandlace.com) (for some, the infamous location of ‘Say yes to the dress’. And yes I was asked to appear on the show but declined. A decision I’m pleased to say I don’t regret). I looked at loads of dresses online and decided to go to Confetti & Lace as I knew an appointment wasn’t always necessary. The sales assistants were friendly and helpful – although it did take me four attempts and me making excuses to go back to ‘the’ dress which I had my eye on! I only tried 7 on but knew that my dress was the one I wanted and felt comfortable in. My visit was only meant to be a “let’s go and see what they have” but I ended up buying and having to cancel all the other appointments elsewhere! There are just far too many styles out there – it’s dangerous to keep looking and to whittle it down!
My gorgeous make up and hair was by the talented https://www.facebook.com/KayleighsBridalPerfection/ – I loved my look especially the my raspberry lipstick.
The flowers were provided by Jodie Sutch (The Little Violet), who was also a guest. I was so happy with what she did; on the day and when looking back at the photos. I think she did a great job and I was so pleased with how the colours all worked. http://www.thelittleviolet.co.uk
And, with a further personal touch, Kelly Harris ( https://www.facebook.com/KHCostumes/) made the adult bridesmaid dresses, Dave’s uncle our videographer and my brother being the Mr DJ!
